The shelf is surprisingly lightweight. The curve on the front edge (curve does not show unless you zoom in) is only roughly sanded. The biggest problem is that the shelf is designed simply to sit on the brackets and can easily be dislodged. I am displaying valuable objects on the shelf, so I ended up drilling holes in the shelf and screwing it to the brackets. The simple design, however, is hard to find. The shelf looks very nice where I have it.

Serves it's purpose.
